My son, who is in 1st grade, has had a lot of trouble with school. He is not officially diagnosed with ADHD, but the checklists suggest it. To describe him, he has a ton of hyperactive and impulsive behaviors. He gets angry easily, especially during transition times. He reacts without any thought of consquences. He gets in really goofy moods, that are impossible to get him out of. He runs and jumps on furniture, always has to take physical risks, without fear of injury. I do not want to put my growing child on stimulants, so we are exhausting everything else first.
I have been a vitamin taker all my life. I have had him on b-complex, which I take for my nerves, but decided to give this a try. He has been taking it for a few weeks now and I just got a call from his school. Every time I see their number on my phone, I assume the worst. This however was a good report. He teacher said that he has been great for a whole week.

I started taking Flax Oil for a number of reasons. A chiropractor friend suggested I take it for joint inflammation, and in researching the product, I found out it has other benefits as well. Since starting Flax, my joint pain is no longer significant, I have dropped 3-5 points in my diastolic blood pressure, and my total cholesterol and LDL are significantly lower. I surely cannot attribute all these positive benefits to flax oil alone, as I have instituted other dietary and exercise protocols as well. However, my research indicates that flax oil benefits all the conditions I mentioned. After several bottles of Barlean’s Flax Oil, I switched to Swanson’s brand of Flax Oil due to the lower cost. I did not notice any difference in efficacy between the two brands. Some claim that Swanson’s has a bitter taste to it. Since I mix mine in with salad oil dressing, any flax taste is masked by the dressing.

This is a really good wide-ranging kit from SJA with pretty much everything you need to address most situations. It’s worth getting just for the kit bag itself as it’s made from high quality ripstop nylon with large zips that have large rubber tabs on the end – should last a very long time. Also not as apparent on the bag are two plastic loops on either side of where the handle is fixed that will allow you to attach a shoulder strap so you don’t just have to carry using the handle. The bandage scissors included are the high quality stainless steel Universal Bandage Scissors as used in Paramedic/EMT kits.

Originally, I was skeptical of this product and its claims about being “tasteless”, “grit-free”, and “non-thickening”. I have tried many fiber products that alluded to similar claims only to be disappointed in the long-run. So, I figured that I’d give this product the ultimate test: I put a serving (2 teaspoons) in a glass of pure spring water and stirred it. In about two minutes time it vanished. I drank it down and didn’t even notice that it was there, and that means a lot to me. I have very sensitive taste buds that can detect the minute difference between fresh mountain spring and purified/filtered bottled water. This product is great and I will be buying a lot more of it. I will never use any other fiber supplement again. Though it’s a bit on the pricier side, there’s nothing comes nearer to it in quality and simplicity.
