What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is described in the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine as “a newly defined syndrome that describes varying combinations of symptoms, including recurrent fatigue sore throat, low-grade fever, lymph node swelling, headache, muscle and joint pain, intestinal discomfort, emotional distress and/or depression and loss of concentration.”

Obviously, things have changed since then. Taubes writes that as Americans have gotten fatter and the incidence of diabetes has increased, “physicians and medical authorities have come to accept the idea that a condition known as the Metabolic Syndrome is a major, if not the major risk factor for heart disease and diabetes.”
There are many kinds of heart disease, as you may have learned from my last article. Different forms of the disease may be present, as many of the causes of over-lapping. Here’s a look at the causes.
Consuming a variety of fruit each day is an excellent way for your body to get the nutrients it needs. If you find that you have trouble eating enough fruit, blending a variety into a smoothie is an excellent solution. The following fruit are best for helping the body ward off the effects of stress and for helping with stress relief.
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition of the central nervous system, so when messages can’t get through from the center of operations in the brain to the operating parts of the body there will be some obvious consequences, or maybe the brain itself won’t work quite as it used to.
Fish Oil. You may know it as “cod liver oil” that your mom and dad took, or the “castor oil” kids took in the 50’s and 6o’s. It turns out that the pharmaceutical companies also studied the special properties in fish oil and tried to create their own versions. Unfortunately their new drugs were released to the public under prescription by physician only and, with a very sad ending. They killed a lot of people. You may know them as Celebrex, Vioxx and Bextra.
Vitamin D supplements will help decrease of blood sugar levels. A dose of 700 mg of vitamin D is sufficient. You can expose yourself to the sun for less than five minutes. Sunlight helps the body to produce vitamin D naturally. Vitamin C will prevent oxidation and decrease inflammation that is caused by high levels of sugar. B vitamins like vitamin B-6, vitamin B-i and vitamin B-12 will help to keep the sugar blood levels normal.
Tea tree oil appears to be a credible alternative remedy for blemishes, including pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) lists tea tree oil as a natural acne treatment. Tea tree oil treatment might be especially helpful for acne patients with sensitive skin. Despite the AAD’s endorsement, the National Institutes of Health argues that further human studies are needed to confirm the touted benefits of tea tree oil for acne.
