Green Tea – camellia sinensis. The properties of green tea are associated with cellular protection, especially in the gastrointestinal tract, stomach, small intestine, pancreas, colon and lung. Green tea is a potent antioxidant and is often used as part of a weight control programme due to its thermogenic properties.

contraindications: Unless de-caffeinated, use should be restricted in cases of high blood pressure, and taking at night may produce insomnia in some individuals.
